Hudson's Baptism

 I flew to Sioux Falls the weekend after Hudson was born to see my adorble nephews!!!  My whole family was there and we had a great time!!!

For the bapitismal gown my mom, sister's and I decided to make one that means a lot to everyone.  Since my mom got my grandma's wedding gown when she moved out of her house, we decided to use my grandma's, mom's, Jera's, and Tori's wedding gowns and make gown!  It's beautiful and Hudson looked stunning in it!!!

It was a great weekend with my family and celebrating Hudson's birth and entrance into the church!  I love family time!!!  I miss them all already and especially my adorable godson!!!  Life is such a miracle!! 

Hudson LeeRoy Potter

Our family grew by one more on Dec. 30 2011 when my nephew/godson Hudson LeeRoy Potter was born!!  He is such a doll!!!  I made a trip to see him a week after he was born and I didn't want to leave when it was time to come back to Denver!

I'm first going to start with Hudson's baby shower in KC.  My sister's friends in KC threw her a baby shower and Tori and I went!  This was way back in Sept, but I just found the pictures on my camera. We had no idea that she was going to have a boy, but little did we know that Jera knew and wasn't telling anyone. Jera got a lot of nice things and it was good to see her for the weekend.

It was such a nice shower and a beautiful day to celebrate our little miracle Hudson!!!

On Dec. 29th I was talking to Tori on the phone and told her that I was headed to work and said that I am getting up the next morning around 12:30 my time, so DO NOT call me until after that, because she was coming to see me the next day and I knew that she would call asking about what to pack.  Well, at 11:00 am my phone started ringing and she wouldn't stop!!  I ingnored 4 phone calls until I got a text in capital letters that said this: PICK UP YOUR PHONE, IT'S AN EMERGENCY!!!  So, of course I had to call her and I get a "Jera's going to have the baby today!!  I'm sooooo excited!!!"  I was like really????  If she's still breathing and her heart is still beating this can wait!  Don't get me wrong, I was excited, but I was in the middle of my sleep that I needed so that I was able to have fun the rest of the weekend! 

Baby boy Hudson LeeRoy was born on the Dec. 30th at 12:57 pm!  He weighed 7lbs. 2 oz and was 21 inches long!  He is the cutest little baby!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Well, I made it through the holidays even though I wasn't with my family!  It was my lucky year to work, so I spent Christmas eve & Christmas day with my work family!  Despite the fact that we were all away from our families we had a good time and made it the best that we possibly could!  It was definitely complete with a potluck dinner Christmas eve that we all brought in!  There was so much yummy food! Christmas morning, I had tears in my eyes when I was driving home because wanted to be with my family so bad.  Coming home to an empty apartment is especially not the best thing when it's Christmas morning, but my little Mia was so excited to see me it put a little comfort in my heart.  She licked away my tears with her happy Christmas kisses and made my morning!!!  She is a spoiled little pup & believe me when I say that Santa didn't miss her in his trip around the world!!

I actually had New Year's off and my sister, her husband, and his brother came to Denver and spent the weekend with me!!  Of course, Gia came too, and her and Mia did nothing up play the entire weekend!  We had plans to go up to Loveland and go skiing on New Year's Eve day and we went up the mountain alright, just in time for a blizzard and 65-80 mph winds!!  People were walking around the basin like it was just another day in paradise.  Once we decided that we weren't going to go skiing because there were times when we were standing about 40 yards from the ski lift and we couldn't see it due to the wind and snow, we turned back around, but not before I got wind blasted and the snow immediately turned to ice on my face...needless to say I was happier than ever that we were headed back to Denver and fast!!!

New Year's Day we went to the Broncos/Chiefs game with all our red gear on...and let me tell you it is not fun being the minority!  However, I can say that we came out on top even if the Broncos fans are poor losers!!!  Some were not very nice, and I'll just leave it at that!

Hunter James Glassman

I went home for a week before Christmas because I had to work Christmas this year!!  When I was home I got to see my good friend Kendra's new baby boy!!  Hunter James is a cutie and looks just like his dad!!!  He was born on Dec. 1st and his dad sat by his momma's side and gave everyone on facebook and play by play as to what was going on during the birthing process!!  I had tears in my eyes when this little miracle was born!!  Here are pictures of little Hunter when I first got to meet him...
