Weekend fun with Eric & Kenny

This weekend one of my high school friends came out for a weekend of fun...and fun...oh we defined it!!!
We started out at the Rockies game Friday night with a group of my friends...the Rockies lost, but I didn't realize it until we were leaving the ball park.  If you think I go to the games to watch them, you are mistaken...I go to socialize...of course!!!

We started the night off by having a beer at Fado's Irish pub...Chris takes great selfless with a group of people!!!

We had some cubs fans with us....

Bleacher Bums!!!

Nothing like hanging out a bar and we run into more high schools friends out of the blue!!!  It was great to catch up with Kelly and Sean!!!

Interstate never fails us with their amazing slushies!!!

Amanda was not having her picture taken at 2am when she was exhausted and had a little to much to drink!!

Saturday night we went to the Eric Church and Kenny Chesney concert...I haven't had that much fun at a concert as I did this one.  Of course it helped that Amanda stuffed cherry vodka in her cowboy boots and got it in the stadium!  We sang, danced, and drank all night long!  It was so much fun!

Of course it takes a group of girl's a little bit to get ready for a picture!

We couldn't wait until we were in the shade...it was HOT!

Finally in the shade....

ERIC CHURCH!!!  Damn, he was so amazing!!! And good on the eyes!

We had soooo much fun at this concert!  Can't wait until the next one!

Of, course it wasn't a big surprise when Peyton Manning showed up on the stage when Kenny was performing...I would have bet a hundo that he would show up!  The stadium went crazy, and well since I'm not a Broncos fan, I rolled my eyes and kept on drinking!!!

This weekend was so much fun!!!  Definitely one to write in the books!  Honestly I can't wait until Eric Church makes his way back to the Mile High City!  We had a freaking blast!

Mt. Bierstadt

Last weekend I climb my first 14er...Mt. Bierstadt!  Fourteeners are popular here in CO, everyone is doing it!  Climbing to 14, 000 ft above sea level is the thing to do!  I got this idea to climb this bad boy last week when I was tired of cycling and running! My friend's jumped at the thought of doing it!

Once I got to the trailhead and saw where the finish was I began to wonder what the hell I got myself in to!  It took about 3.5 hours to get the top...and when I got to the top is was amazing!  The views where gorgeous and you could see about 4 other 14er peaks!  I can't wait for the next one next weekend!

We were on the top for about 45 minutes and the clouds started rolling in...the thunder started!  It was scary when you are actually standing in a cloud and it starts thundering!  The hair on some people's head was standing straight out, people were getting shocked when they touched rocks, and everyone was making a mad dash to get off the mountain!  It started raining and the rocks were super slippery...Rosa fell a couple times, but all be damned if we were going to die on the top of that mountain by getting struck by lightening!

We got down safely and it was a great experience!  I was exhausted, but loved every minute of it!!!

We are going to end up at the top of the peak on the right!  But that ridge was amazing!!!

Clouds starting to roll in while we were on the top.

Taking a break on our way down!!!

Waiting for the other at the top!

I went out and bought these hiking shoes the day before...they are amazing and are totally worth it!  It was a great blister-free hike!!!

We all 3 finally made it to the top!!!

I love the sun rays in this photo...an iphone can be a great camera!

It was a beautiful amazing day...I can't wait until our next 14er next weekend!  Our group has multiplied and I can't wait to hike more of this beautiful state with great people!  I say all the time "I love this state!" Colorado is absolutely amazing!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday!!!

My little fur baby Mia turned two at the end of June!  I can't believe that I have had her in my life for two years!  I was that person that thought the relationship between an animal and person was dumb...I was NEVER going to be that person...I NEVER understood why someone would treat their animal better than their children...I NEVER wanted to have to make sure the animal was feed, watered, and pottied....and well...now that is my life!  I couldn't imagine not coming home to my little Mia that pittles at the site of me!

Mia is the most loving little dog ever...she will not miss an opportunity to have her belly rubbed and cuddle all at the same time!  She lets you know when you have stopped rubbing her belly and she wants more!

She is a momma's girl!  When her nana wants to cuddle with her it last about 5 minutes and she is back on my lap!  Papa has figured out that he has to keep rubbing her belly or ears for her to stay in his lap!  She knows how to get what she wants!!!

She hates getting a bath...but her mama, well I love her to smell good and her hair to be oh so soft!  She can't wait to bust out of the towel and rub her wet body all over the carpet...of course she acts like she is dying when she is in the bath tub...a bath isn't complete without a few whines and whimpers!

She loves the time that she spends with her sister Gia!  The two of them will chase, bark, and sleep together like they were never separated!  Mia sleeps for days straight when we get home from a weekend of playing with Gia!

Happy Birthday to my furry princess!!!!  You make my world a little brighter!!

"To you she may only just be a part of your life, but to her you are her everything, the only person in her whole world."

Westward Music Fest

I love going to day concerts...what a better excuse to be in outside, drinking beer, listening to good music, and being with great friends!  I love having a group of friends that love going to concerts, so while I am not up to par with concert schedules, they keep me in line!

The Westward Music Fest had 8 stages at several different bars in downtown Denver, so you could walk to all the different bars to enjoy the artists that you wanted to see.  Of course, we made our presence at several different bars!  We played tic tact toe with an ice sculpture, had an amazing gyro, drink a little too much, rode our cruisers, and had a grand ole time!!

Can't wait for out next day concert...but Lee is leaving us!  Hopefully he will come back for a visit so we can do all our craziness all over again!!!!
